Moist Spots 2: the Aftermath

As I awoke to a beautiful sunrise I noted a dark gray wall looming in the west and approaching quickly. We had a clipper moving through and it reversed the advance of the sun for several hours. I decided to survey as much of the property as I could climb my way into in silence today allowing the sights and sounds of nature to speak for themselves. I started walking at 3:18 in the video. Hope you enjoy. Tags: #nature #natural #livinmicro #Steve #flood #woods #forest #trail #hiking #trees #pond #stream #creek

20yo Ryobi Blue Sawzall Repair

So today was the day it finally happened. The 18v blue Ryobi sawzall I bought oh so many years ago has finally let me down. Over twenty years of tough love has taken its toll and the test will now be upon me. Can this saw of mine be repaired? Can I do it? As detailed inside this video, the parts needed and the self-destruction of the failed assembly can be rebuilt. The blue Ryobi sawzall lives again! Did Corbett Report actually debunk the "JFK Silver Certificate Myth"?

I disagree with the idea that Kennedy was pro federal reserve. With paper notes, be they federal reserve notes or silver certificates the U.S. citizen or human individual was unable to hold, stockpile, and/or collect the silver personally by his/her own will. When the bill became law (pleasing the fed) Kennedy saw that enabling silver coinage gave the US populace, as human individuals, the ability to play both sides of the currency game for leveraging personal wealth gains as a natural born person without need for others' approval. If I exchanged all my federal reserve notes for silver coins I could still leverage their value as I would a silver certificate however, if those coins made of silver were in my possession I could see if either the value of the federal reserve note or the value of silver metal was worth more without need to exchange under permission at a bank or mint. This gave the average citizenry the ability to stockpile fungible silver rather than d

18v Ryobi Blue SawZall Mod (Cone of Safety)

Today, with leaves fallen allowing a better view of the size and girth of their parents, I explored the surrounding trees to maintain I was still within a cone of safety. After finding a few instances where trees had doubled in size over the past 6-7 months I decided to remove a few that were choking each other out due to over-competition & top a few of the taller ones that were beginning to overtake my house. It amazes me just how quickly some of these trees grew! Two of the trees I removed that were growing next to my house were baby saplings in May just months past when I began building but by mid-october they were already more than twice as tall as my home and close enough to hurt the structure if they were to fall upon it... Nature is alive and well on this property! In order to cut the trees I weighed purchase of a pole saw but found it would be just as easy, if not more effective, to to simply add to and modify my 25+ year old blue Ryobi 18 volt sawzall. Thi

Forging a Way Through Shae's Opening

Way back in late August / early September I stumbled upon "Shae's opening" while forging the perimeter trail. I found his gloves next to the axe and road signs nearby... This will definitely be an area to explore further after tick season :) Tags: #offGrid, #DIY, #howTo, #frugal, #free, #nature, #natural, #landscaping, #livinmicro, #briars, #path, #hiking, #trail
